The session will provide 5 golden rules for entrepeneurs to jumpstart their sales and 2 common mistakes that can be deadly. The sales process startes eariler than you may think. Identifying customers and make them a part of your product definition can be vitally important. Speaker (Naeem Zafar) will share his mistakes and lessons learned during his six startups.

A workshop series for entrepreneurs with the next big idea
Jumpstart your startup with a new series from Women 2.0 to help make your business idea a reality. Jumper cables in the trunk? Check. Gas? Check. Brakes? All good.
“Jumpstart Your Startup” consists of five two-hour Thursday classes in Palo Alto and two full-day Saturday classes in San Francisco. Workshops utilize discussion forums and working sessions.
Discussion sessions will be run by Naeem Zafar, a faculty member at the University of California at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, startup veteran, and advisor to entrepreneurs.
Hands-on working sessions will be guided by successful women executives, VCs, and entrepreneurs providing “from the trenches” feedback and insight.

Naeem will be outlining the steps needed for entrepeneurs to launch their startups. He will be answering two questions that face any entrepeneur; "When do I know I am ready to quit my day-job?" and "Am I investor ready?"
This presentation will be a high energy look at the overall process of starting up and what it takes to get attention from investors interested in life science companies.

It will answer your VC-related questions about what options entrepreneurs have to get their ideas funded in the current environment. The workshop will provide a list of dos and don’ts for interactions with and presentations to the VCs.
